With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Matilde Villegas, a beloved wife, mother, and caretaker, who departed this world on June 21, 2025, at the age of 70.

Matilde was the devoted wife of Héctor Villegas and the proud mother of five children three daughters and two sons each of whom carry her warmth, strength, and unconditional love in their hearts.

Born on January 9, 1955, Matilde had a special way of showing love through cooking, serving, and nurturing others. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, always filled with the comforting aroma of her food, her laughter, and her unwavering care. Feeding others was her love language, and no one ever left her home hungry in body or in spirit.

Matilde’s heart was big enough to embrace everyone around her. Beyond her own children, she helped raise and care for many others who lovingly called her “Grandma,” even if not by blood. She was a second mother and a guiding light to so many an anchor in their lives, offering not only care but genuine love, wisdom, and joy.

Her presence was a gift, her love immeasurable, and her legacy one that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Matilde leaves behind a family and community that adored her, and countless lives forever touched by her kindness, generosity, and the warmth of her spirit.
