Karen Abeyta

“Karen Sue Abeyta, age 73, died in Wheatridge, Colorado on May 6, 2025. She was born to Edward and Eugene Rice on October 2, 1951, in Eads, Colorado.

Karen is survived by her husband Les Sr., four children, Shane, Danielle, Kari and Les Jr., seven grandchildren, Chase, David, Dara, Benjamin and Andrea, Cedric and Caroline, and two great grand children, Daelynn, and Julian

Karen was a kind, gentle, loving, generous soul and a God-given blessing and gift to everyone she crossed paths with. Karen provided a comfortable, hospitable and loving home while working most of her life as a Data Entry Clerk in the banking field. Karen not only loved her family with a nonconditional love, but she also loved animals and volunteered to do some rescue and care work. Karen also continued the artistic side of her father and son and pursued stained glass as a hobby and even sold some of her pieces.

Although Karen had a tough and turbulent beginning in her early life that extended into her early adult life, she always knew there was a God, something far greater than all of us. Her faith deepened over time, and today she rests in the arms of Jesus. She is deeply loved and forever will be loved by her friends and family.”
