Theodore Edward “Ted” Bair

Theodore Edward “Ted” Bair, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away June 25, 2021.

Born December 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Hershal E. and Ruby Ivah Bair.

After graduating from Uhrichsville High School in 1965, he joined the United States Marine Corps serving in Vietnam.  Upon discharge, he spent most of his professional career as the owner and operator of Network Computer Power, Inc.

Ted had a passion for cars.  Most recently, he was restoring a ’57 Chevy hardtop.  He was a member of the DENT (Driven Everywhere Never Trailered) Car Club and also the Arizona Territorial Coin Club.  In his younger years, he enjoyed drag racing and street racing. More recently, he competed in timed open road racing in his Corvette in Nevada.  Most importantly, he was a kind person who knew no stranger.

He will be missed by his family including his siblings, Ginger Bair Doane, Patricia Bair Pilkington, and Frank Bair; his step-sons, Russ (Shelly) Parkinson and their children, Evan and Sierra, and Jesse (Kimberly) Parkinson and their children, Kaitlyn Carpenter, Jesse Jr., Ashleigh, and David Parkinson; his significant other, Mary Pischner; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He will also be greatly missed by his loyal Rottweiler, Samantha “Sam”.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in passing by his sister-in-law, Jane Bair; and brothers-in-law, Elden “Tex” Doane and William Pilkington.

Visitation will be held August 28, 2021 from noon to 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church library at New Philadelphia.  Pastor Todd Gopp will lead a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. followed by inurnment in East Avenue Cemetery.  The New Philadelphia VFW Post #1445 will render military honors.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send donations to the New Philadelphia VFW Post #1445.
