Terry James Stolba (a fun-loving adult who never lost his sense of wonder), age 74, passed away peacefully in his home on July 23, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 2, from 2-6 pm at Solon Legion Hall, 222 East Main Street, Solon, IA.
He was born January 26, 1951, in Omaha, NE, to William and Shirley (Biley) Stolba. Terry worked as a truck driver for 54 years and loved where the road took him. Terry loved music of all sorts, reading, aviation, and science fiction. He enjoyed causing chaos with his family and was looking forward to moving out to his son and daughter-in-law’s farm.
Terry is survived by his children Jason (Laura) Stolba, Travis (Katherine) Stolba and Mysti (Jeremy) Edmunds; grandchildren Tomi (Tyler) Arnette, Riley (Mackenzie) Byers, Maquoi (Isiah) Moyers, Shawn and Cody Knapp, Baylee Stolba, Dallas and Dakota Edmunds; four great-grandchildren, Violet, Carson, Mason and Braxton; brothers Alan and William (Billy) Stolba, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and longtime dear friend Donna and her family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made in Terry’s name at Palo Savings Bank.
