Shane Christopher Holten, 47, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away suddenly at home on Aug. 3, 2023.

Shane was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Dec. 20, 1975, at St. Luke’s Hospital to Howard and Janice Holten.

He loved fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and dogs.

Shane is survived by his children, Cody, Austin, Shayla, Whitney, Jayelynn, Brianna, and Shania; four grandchildren; mother, Janice; siblings, Jaye Albaugh, Nikki (Vince) Dvorsky, Lane (Tonya) Holten, and Jeff (Lisa) Holten; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He’s preceded in death by his son, Levi Holten; father, Howard Holten; sister, Julie Holten; and brother, Tony Holten.

Funeral arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial to be held at Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah, Iowa, at a later date.
