Scott Russell Crawford
Cedar Rapids
Dear Friends and Family,
We sadly announce the passing of Scott R Crawford, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri. Scott departed this life from an unknown illness on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, after his wife admitted him to hospice care. A man of quiet strength and devoted love, Scott was remembered fondly by everyone he met. Scott was passionate about many things in life, but none more so than his beloved KC Chiefs whom he was able to see win three Super Bowls. Memorial services are currently pending.
Scott is survived by his four daughters, Sara Mione of Houston, Texas; Beth Crawford of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Jill Crawford of Keystone, Iowa; and Marlena (Casey) Derrick of Imperial Valley, California. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Joslynn, Logan, Emma, and Bradley.
In his later years, Scott dreamt of having the freedom to explore new places and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren while traveling cross-country in his RV. Though life’s demands took him away from his family while on the road during his sales career years, he remained a devoted father who longed to reclaim those lost moments.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gloria Crawford, and his siblings, Christine and Sharman. His quiet demeanor and loving spirit touched the lives of many, reflecting his deep commitment to those he held dear. He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for the warmth and kindness he shared in his own unique way.
We invite all who knew Scott to join us in celebrating his life and honoring him by sharing the memories he leaves behind.
