Rose Marie Smith

Rose Marie Smith of Flat Rock, NC, died on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill (Gettis) Smith, sons, Anthony and Greg, and daughter, Angela Deaver of Hendersonville; and son, Christopher Smith of Lawrenceville, GA who died in the line of duty while serving as a Supervisory Special Agent with the United States Secret Service.

As a passionate believer in community service and giving back, she amassed a 35+ year volunteer career with Pardee Hospital, took time to tutor children in computer science, and was a devout Catholic at Immaculate Conception church in Hendersonville. She served as a eucharistic minister and lifelong volunteer.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Cailin Smith, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Deaver of Hendersonville, NC; and great grandchildren, Brantley and Riley Deaver.

A Memorial Mass will be held on September 29th at 11 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
