Roger R. Lindamood

Roger R. Lindamood, affectionately known as “The King of the World” to his family, passed away October 12, 2022 in Claymont Health & Rehabilitation at Uhrichsville, following a period of declining health.

Born in Dennison on December 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Harold and Kathryn (Glaub) Lindamood.

After graduating from Uhrichsville High School in 1956, he joined the Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18 where he was a life member, serving as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.

On August 23, 1958, he married the love of his life, the former Monica Bodnar, and they were blessed with more than 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in October of 2018.

Roger’s hobbies included driving, visiting the Wheeling Island Casino, being in the outdoors whether he was in the woods or fishing, and collecting guns, knives, and trains. He also enjoyed listening to music, specifically old country and Queen. Most importantly, he will forever be cherished by his family for the love and devotion he gave to them.

He is survived by his son, Jeff (Lori) Lindamood of Dennison; his daughter, Jennifer (Douglas) Hines of Hardeeville, SC; grandchildren, Kathryn (Troy) Thompson, Callie (Steven) Kauffman, Valerie (Thad) Lengler, Lindy (Edward) Lippencott; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Gail (close friend, David) Lindamood Hedges; brother, Mark Lindamood; companion, Ingrid Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in passing by his brother, Loren Lindamood; and daughter-in-law, Connie Lindamood.

The family would like to thank the staff of Claymont Health and Rehab for the care, compassion, and love provided to their father and grandfather during his year-long stay.
