Robert “Rob” Norman Wheeler, 64, of Webster, Wis., formerly of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minn. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Graveside service with full military honors will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at Shiloh Cemetery in Hiawatha.

Rob was born on July 2, 1958, in Barstow, Calif., the son of James “Jim” and Edith “Edie” (Cook) Wheeler. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Rob served honorably in the United States Army. He worked for Hawkeye Redi-Mix as a driver for many years. Rob was an avid outdoorsman and lived to hunt and fish. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rob is survived and lovingly remembered by his sister, Renee (Andy) Koopman of Parkersburg, Iowa; brother, Rick (Barb) Wheeler of Jenison, Mich.; nephew, Tim (Mallory) Stowell of Savage, Minn.; niece, Erin (Dillon) Stowell of Garrison, Iowa; and great-niece and nephew, Willow and Emmett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Edie Wheeler; paternal grandparents, Andrew “Bud” and Ethel Wheeler; and maternal grandparents, Nelson and Mary Cook.
