Richard “Rich” Wayne Brunner, 58, of Marion, Iowa, died suddenly Nov. 14, 2022, in Omaha, Neb., after an otherwise successful solid organ transplant. After 32 years in the cable industry, Rich had been eager to get back to quality assurance at Mediacom.

Rich is missed by his wife of 37 years, Robin; children, Richelle, Ross and Ryan (Megan Reif); sister, Lori Smith; two half siblings; several loving aunts; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and a beloved Jack Russell terrier. The family of Joel and Suzie Kells shares in their heartache. He so missed his mom, Louella, and they watch over the family together now.

Rich requested no service be held. Instead, discuss organ donation with the people you love, and plant a tree in his memory or reminisce about him under one that is weathered and strong.
