Richard Kell

Richard Kell

Richard Kell, 83, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather began his role as a legend on February 13, 2021 in Granbury, Texas.

As a natural explorer, Richard could make the dullest of days into a great adventure and could turn a road trip into an unforgettable journey.  His lessons far exceeded anything his children could learn in school, and his stories were wilder than any storybook.  As a teller of tall tales, he was full of lore.  As much as his stories were enjoyed, he derived even greater satisfaction watching his children decipher what was true and what was not.  He loved all kids and they loved him back.

He will live forever through our warmest memories, and as his tall tales are passed down for generations.  As you always said, “We love you all the numbers and they never end,” Papa Bear.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gladys Kell and brother Robert Kell; and is lovingly survived by his wife, Rebecca Kell, daughter April Bunn and husband David, daughter Elizabeth Kell and partner Alicia, son Richard Paul Kell, stepdaughter Tiffany Scott, stepson Corey Scott and wife Hailey, and brothers Don Kell, Paul Kell and Alan Kell and wife Valerie.
