Rev Lloyd William Morgan

Rev. Lloyd William Morgan, 85 of East Flat Rock, NC was promoted to his Heavenly Home to be
with his Lord and Savior on his earthly birthday, June 18, 2022. A native of Henderson County,
NC, Rev. Morgan was the son of the late Rev. William “Bricie” and Minnie Shipman Morgan. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Loree Henderson
Morgan and sister, Helen Morgan Thompson.

In 1966, Rev. Morgan began working for the Lord with his wife, Loree, and daughter, Freida by
his side. They traveled the country singing and preaching the Good News of Jesus. He loved an
old-fashioned tent meeting, the family singing songs of that Heavenly Home, preaching Jesus is
coming soon, and seeing people in the altar giving their life to Christ. Soon after, Rev. Morgan
began a radio and television ministry, reaching even more people with the Gospel. He greatly
enjoyed traveling to the mission fields of Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, and other countries. His heart
was missions, meeting the needs of those who were hurting and pointing them to Jesus. From
this, Rev. Morgan began Faith In God Missions. He, his wife, daughter, and son-in-law traveled
the country and the foreign fields feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, and preaching the
Gospel. Rev. Morgan worked tirelessly in the mission field, drilling wells, setting up radio
stations, building homes, and also building many churches in the foreign fields that are still
operating and spreading the Gospel of Jesus. He dedicated his life to Faith In God Missions,
laboring for the Lord. In recent years, Rev. Morgan, passed the baton of ministry to his
daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Steve and Freida Bishop. They are carrying on the work of Faith
In God Missions, continuing to labor for the Lord and spreading the Good News of Jesus to the
world.

Rev. Morgan is survived by his current wife, Margaret P. Morgan of Morristown, TN; daughter,
Freida Morgan Bishop and her husband, Rev. Steve Bishop of East Flat Rock, NC; grandchildren,
Steven Bishop (Stacy Lynn), Stacy Lund (Rev. Joe Lund); great-grandchildren, Tyler Bishop, Seth
