Randy “Mort” Possehl, 65, of Central City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Randy was born on Sept. 11, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was the son of Francis and Helen Possehl. He grew up in Whittier, Iowa, and was a Linn-Mar High School graduate and went on to study graphic design at Kirkwood Community College. Randy worked at FMC link belt and the local laborers union 43. He is a member of the Midnight Riders. Randy loved the club rides and his strong bond with his fellow brothers. He also cherished his time that was spent with family and friends in North Buena Vista on the Mississippi. Randy Possehl was loved by many. He made an everlasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was one BAMF that will never be forgotten.

Randy is survived by his wife, Cindy Spray; stepchildren, Aaron Aldersen, Andi (Will) Averill, Todd Moore, Aaron (Kayla) Spray, Amber (Calvin) Bailey and Drew (Paige) Spray; 11 grandchildren, Bailey, Macie, Emma, Natalyha, Layla, Joyclynn, Levi, Kellylynn, Wesley, Marshall and Sawyer; two great-grandchildren; first wife, Peggy Butler Moore; two brothers, Rick Possehl and John Possehl; three nieces Brittany, Kasi and April (May June July) Possehl; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; his dogs, Storm and Ryder; and countless friends.

Service will be held in Central City at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, from 3:30 to 4 p.m., with visitation to follow from 4 to 7 p.m.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, from 10 a.m. until whenever at Some Place Else Bar in North Buena Vista, Iowa.
