Patrick Gerrold Tusing, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Per his wishes he has been cremated. A private graveside service was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Patrick was born on May 14, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Dean and Alice (Merkle) Tusing. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Patrick was employed for 20 years at Cargill and later retired as a roofer. He was a member of the Teamsters and Roofers Unions. Patrick was an avid Hawkeye fan!! He also enjoyed riding bikes, fishing, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by a son, Brian (April) Tusing of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter, Terra (Joel) Hendrix of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two grandchildren, Ethan Ullrick and Mardelle Hendrix; a sister, Deana Tusing of Des Moines, Iowa; and a brother, Dan Tusing of Illinois.

Patrick was preceded by his parents, and a brother Michael Tusing.
