Patricia “Pat” A. O’Loughlin, 83, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Peace Christian Reformed Church, located at 6600 C Ave. NE, in Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday. The Rev. Gary Brouwers will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, of Marion, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pat was born on June 7, 1939, in Tingley, Iowa, the daughter of David Earl and Vinetta Mable (Lockwood) Hill. She was a 1957 graduate of Tingley High School and went on to attend Iowa Wesleyan University and completed her studies as a medical technologist. Pat was united in marriage to Dion “Don” O’Loughlin on Feb. 3, 1960, in Marengo, Iowa. She was a member of Peace Christian Reformed Church. Pat loved working at Weland Laboratory for many years. Together, Pat and Don owned and operated their own business, Merry Maids, for more than 20 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pat is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Michael O’Loughlin of Marion; daughter, Janice (LeRoy) Gill of Lynchburg, Va.; grandson, Zachery Sohner of Chesapeake, Va.; granddaughter, Lindsey Sohner of Portsmouth, Va.; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Harry) Plumadore and Linda (Lee) Foltz; and brother, Richard (Cindy) Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don.
