Patricia (Purzner) Barbeau, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 9, 2025, after a long illness.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis Barbeau; her daughter Jill (Bill) Brockschink of Marion, Iowa; two granddaughters, Kate (Harrison) March and Ashley (Spencer) Brockschink, both of Marion, Iowa; a great-granddaughter, Maeve March; her sisters JoAnn Purzner-Hanson of St. Louis, Missouri and Theresa (John) Ballard of Sterling, Virginia; and many cherished family members and friends.
Patricia was born on February 3, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Juanita Purzner. She graduated from University City High School, class of 1966, and loved “U.City” all her life. She was married to Dennis on July 7, 1977 in Clayton, Missouri. She worked for many years at Bunzl/Packaging Consultants and was an award-winning volunteer at Ranken-Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital in Maryland Heights. Patricia was an avid Cardinals baseball fan and had a passion for travel, cooking, sewing, gardening, and animals. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, adoring mother to Jill, and “Nana” to her granddaughters Kate and Ashley. Her warm smile, laughter, and fun-loving spirit will live on forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Purzner, and a sister Suzan Carroll-Ramsey. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Services are pending at Collier Funeral Home in St. Ann, Missouri.
