Onelia Penedo, age 88, was born in Camaguey, Cuba to the late Adalberto Ollet and Herminia Williamson. Beloved wife of the late Enrique Penedo. Loving mother of Carmen (Bruce) Hovanec, Sunny (Gery) Chico, and Nely (Lee) Berringer. Cherished grandmother “Lela” of Michelle (Peter) Vazquez, Sarah (Joseph) Brancky, Joseph (Marleny) Hovanec, Michael (Tara) Abello, Alyssa (Jonah) Ravine, Helena Hovanec, Theodore (Joan Megas) Bergsma, Rebecca Chico, and Alicia Bergsma. Adoring great-grandmother of David Abello, Celia Hovanec, Leo Brancky, Noel Brancky, Maya Ravine, the late Ella Vazquez, Enrique Abello, Ignacio Vazquez, Charlie Abello and Arya Hovanec. She is also survived by two of her siblings, Oreste Ollet and Eloisa Luminiello. Aunt, cousin, godmother and friend to many. Onelia was a very dedicated and proud teacher. She will be forever remembered for her kindness, warmth, compassion and, above all, her great faith.
