RODERICK P. FONTENOT
May 21, 1940 – May 4, 2021
MAMOU – A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Roderick P. Fontenot, 80, who passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in Lafayette.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou is in charge of arrangements.
Roderick P. Fontenot was born on May 21, 1940, in Ville Platte to Bruce and Hattie Fuselier Fontenot. He worked in the oilfield as a mud logger for many years. He took great pride in his work and was very good at his job. When not working, he enjoyed spending time outdoors farming and fishing.
Roderick is survived by his sons, Richard Fontenot and Rod Fontenot and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Tim Stilly and Tiffany Vincent; and sisters, Abagail Fontenot and Phoebe Chelette.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Fontenot; parents, Bruce and Hattie Fuselier Fontenot; daughter, Yvonne Marie Fontenot; and brother, Kern Fontenot.
