Nancy Lou Anderson

Nancy Lou Anderson (Callarman), 84, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Concordia Village. She was born on February 4, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Reverend Truman and Edith Irene (Barnwell) Barrow. She married Donald C. Anderson in 2012; he preceded her in death January 24, 2020.

Also preceding her in death are her parents and daughter, Cydne LaBonte.

Survivors include daughter, Beth (John) Lang, Springfield; sons, Steve (Carol) Callarman, Springfield and Jeff Callarman, Parker, CO; son-in-law, Robert LaBonte; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Kay (Bill) Tex, Springfield; brothers, Jim (Carol) Barrow and Paul (Cathy) Barrow, both of Tulsa, OK; several nieces and nephews, and so, so many friends.

Nancy had a beautiful singing voice and sang in church choirs most of her life, and belonged to Cherry Hills Church. As a homemaker, she was famous for homemade pies, egg noodles made from scratch, and the perfect fudge and divinity. Sewing and quilting were her greatest passions, and she leaves behind decades long work of amazing pieces for us to enjoy; she shared this joy with the Stitching Club at Concordia Village and the local Quilt Guild.

Services: Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home, Springfield.

Visitation from 2-3 pm and Memorial Service at 3pm with Chaplain Jeff Harter officiating. CDC protocol shall be followed.
