Nae Il McGee

Nae Il McGee passed away at home Monday, May 9, 2022 from the long term effects and complications of her 17 year battle with colon cancer. Her loving husband was at her side. Nae was born on February 13, 1935 in Seoul, South Korea. After surviving the Korean War, she came to the United States in 1965, and promptly became a naturalized citizen. She was very proud of her American citizenship and was a true patriot. Old timers in Hampton, will remember her as the night manager and hostess at the Hampton Yacht Club. Nae was a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart. She loved all her friends, their children and grandchildren. Nae was a certified Master Gardener and loved tending to her flowers and yard projects. She was also a skilled seamstress, a superb cook and hostess, a great artist and even designed the house that she and her husband lived in for many years. She could do anything.  

 

Nae is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, retired Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Frank McGee., her son Jae Logan, loving daughter Kae Si and husband Stanley Brzozowski, stepson Michael and wife Karen McGee, grandson Bryan Fleming and step-grandson Jared McGee. Brother-in-law Daniel and wife Elisabeth McGee, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Eileen and Ann.  A gathering of friends and family to memorialize Nae is planned for a later date.

 

The McGee family wishes to recognize the compassionate care and love given to Nae by the Riverside Hospice nursing team and supporting staff thus enabling her fulfill her desire to remain at home for her final days.
