Munosia “Plum”  Friend

Munosia “Plum” Friend, 64, was born on April 18, 1957 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Precious Carter and James Friend. She transitioned to her eternal home on July 31, 2021.

Plum went to Mansfield Senior High School and worked at Designer Metal. Plum also enjoyed cooking for family and friends; she was a very good cook. She also enjoyed watching wrestling, Sister’s, Let’s Make A Deal and Judge Judy.

Plum leaves to cherish her memories to her loving daughters, DeAnna K. Friend (Alonzo Melton) of Mansfield, OH, Marketa Q. (David) Brown of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, Markell Friend, Frank Douglas, Savannah Bradley and Seanna Friend all of Mansfield, OH; 11 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Malaria Pryor, CA., Earnestine (Terry) Lawrence, AL, Nicosia (Peaches) Friend, Almedia Carter both of Mansfield, OH; Teresa Friend and Naomi Nevilles both of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Artenson Carter of Mansfield, OH, James (Gwenette) Hightower of TN; numerous nieces and nephews; special nephew, Ernest Q. Gordon II; special cousin, Vernessa Lindsay-Bond; special friends, Clifton Bobo, Cindy Eatmon and Shelia Benjamin; and special special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Aldoph (Shirley) Briggs.

Plum was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Terry Lawrence of AL; and special cousin, Pearline Lindsay.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Community Temple Church of God, 338 Harker Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44903. A service will follow thereafter beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Henry Bradley officiating service. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
