Michael Ray Rose, 57, of Iowa City, died Aug. 15, 2023, at his home in Iowa City.

A gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with remarks at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed toward the Rose family in care of Jennifer Rose.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jennifer; their children, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Stark and Nicholas Rose; one grandchild, Paisley Rae Stark; father, Dennis Rose; sisters, Christine “Chris” (Ted) Schaefer and Leslie (Jeff) Payden; nieces, Alicia, Amanda and Grace; nephew, Addison; family friend and “second” mother, Judy Anderlick; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie Rose, in 2019; stepmother, Vivian, in 2009; and his daughters, Emily and Nicole, in 1994.
