Mark W. Graves, Jr.

Mark W. Graves, Jr. died peacefully at age 35 at his home in Las Vegas. He was born on March 19, 1987 in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio to Mark W. Sr. and Sheree A. Graves. He has lived in several places during his life, Cherry Hill, NJ, Erie, PA, Chicago, IL, Evansville, IN, and Las Vegas, NV.

Mark enjoyed traveling and volunteering for local and overseas missionary work (including Honduras). He attended Reitz Memorial Catholic High School in Evansville, IN and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. In high school and college, Mark participated in wrestling. He not only enjoyed the competition, but he also liked to mentor new wrestlers. Mark was a gifted computer programmer and website designer. He helped many people by using his skills. It was always Mark’s biggest desire to help the world be a better place for all of us.

Mark is survived by his mother, Sheree; father, Mark, Sr.; two brothers, Rob and Chris; sister-in-law, Jen; four nieces; great aunt, Florie (age 95); aunt, Lisa (spouse Al); uncle, Bill (spouse Cheryl); and multiple cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bill “Dado” and Evelyn “Nana” Graves and Betty “Grandma” Jesko.

Private funeral services were held for Mark, with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Reitz Memorial Catholic High School in Evansville, IN or to the Mark Graves, Jr. Memorial Scholarship fund.  This scholarship fund will be established in Mark’s name to benefit scholars at Reitz Memorial Catholic High School in Evansville, IN.
