Marjorie (Marge) H. Crenshaw

Marjorie (Marge) H. Crenshaw, 79, of Rochester passed away at 7:45 am, Monday, April 4, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born June 1, 1942, in Springfield, to Marjorie H. Dugger Baugh and Robert (Bernie) Hickson.

She was Vice President of Lake Area Disposal, a devoted employee of Lake Area Disposal and Recycling in Springfield established in 1932.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Crenshaw, Sr., founder of Lake Area Disposal and Recycling; brother, Robert Hickson; granddaughters, Tiffany Phillips and Terry Atkinson; stepson, Donald E. Crenshaw, Jr.; grandson, Donald E. Crenshaw III; and son in law, John Draper.

Marge and Don Crenshaw, Sr. married in 1963 and shared many great years together, raising and enjoying family. They loved their summers boating, fishing, and swimming at the Lake Petersburg summer cottage, motorcycle riding, trail riding, hiking, dancing to a great polka, country music, watching “Mom’s birds” from their back porch, loving country life in Rochester, and traveling to their favorite places out west while watching the stars in the sky each night from their campsite. Marge was also a member of the Eagles Club.

She is survived by, her mother, Marjorie H. Baugh of Springfield; sister, Patricia Gum (Thomas) of Athens; daughters, Tina Butler of Florida, Donna Green (Steven) of Rochester, GerriAnn Crenshaw of Rochester, Barbara Cook (Edward, Sr.) of Springfield, Lynn Draper of Springfield; daughter in law, Lois Crenshaw of Riverton; son, Charles E. Phillips (Teresa) of Springfield; 14 grandkids; 20 great grandkids; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Friday, April 15, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Milton Bost officiating. Burial will follow at Pulliam Cemetery, near Modesto.
