Margaret Jane Garibaldi
Margaret (Peggy) Jane Garibaldi, 84, of Fontana, WI, and Naples, FL, passed away on November 15, 2022, one month to the day after her beloved Caesar, her husband of 61 years. Peggy is survived by her children John (Betsy), Michael (Betsy) and Dan (George). Her son, Chris (Heather), preceded him in death. When Heather remarried Joel Davis, he was welcomed into the family. Peggy and Caesar’s nine grandchildren, Matt (Sarah), Chris, Tim (Chris), Emily, Katie, Jack, Alex (Katie), Tom, and Sarah were her greatest joy. She also had three great grandchildren, Ellie, Rhett and a recent addition, Miles.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tom, and her sister Patricia. Her dear sister Roseann survives her, along with her brother-in-law, Blake Bartaletti and her sisters-in-law Geraldine Finnerty and Rita Naughton. Peggy has numerous nieces and nephews with whom she enjoyed spending time who also survived her.
Peggy graduated from Providence High School in Chicago, IL, and attended DePaul University. She worked as a homemaker and raised her 4 sons, before joining Caesar at the family Pharmacies and helping him grow their business. Peggy and Caesar were great role models, who instilled a tremendous work ethic in their children and grandchildren.
She was a longtime volunteer at Misericordia in Chicago, she enjoyed spending time with her good friends at the Gilded Lilies, at the Fontana Garden Club and with the Questers. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf with her many friends, but her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After selling their business in 2003, Peggy and Caesar began a well-earned retirement, traveling frequently and eventually relocating to Fontana, WI. They would spend 4 months each winter in Naples, FL, with many of their friends from Fontana.

A celebration of her life will occur at Saint Benedicts Catholic Church in Fontana, Wisconsin, on November 21st at 11am. Visitation will begin at 10:30am.
