Lloyd D. Flanagin

Lloyd D. Flanagin, age 91, of Oswego, IL passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on May 24, 1931 in Carrollton, MS the son of Louis and Helon (Carrothers) Flanagin.

Mr. Flanagin was united in marriage in 1955 to Hildegard Rehe and they lived happily together until her passing.  Lloyd served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army.  He was employed for many years as an insurance adjuster until his retirement. Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele Flanagin of California and his grandson Sean Flanagin of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helon Flanagin; his wife, Hildegard Flanagin; his son, Jurgen Karl Flanagin; his two brothers; and his sister.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley, IL.
