Linda Nadine Moreland

Linda “Nadine” Moreland, 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 in Claymont Health & Rehabilitation.

Born in Franklin Township, Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel F. Clark and Virginia (Haines) Walker.

Nadine was a graduate of the former Freeport High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the former Joy Manufacturing until she became a stay-at-home mom. A woman of tremendous faith, Nadine was a member of Roxford United Methodist Church and a longtime Sunday School teacher.

Nadine loved her grandchildren and was often found following them in the sporting and extracurricular activities. She also loved animals and took in many strays over the years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the piano and spent many years traveling with her family playing and singing gospel music throughout the area.

Nadine will be remembered for her endearing, unintentional humor (aka. Her “Crissy” moments).

On June 11, 1961, Nadine married John “Jack” R. Moreland, in the Deersville United Methodist Church and shared more than 60 years together.

Nadine is also survived by her children, John “Jack” (Elisa) Moreland of Dennison and Jill Cunningham of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Zoey, Ryder, Curtis and Derek; 4 great-grandchildren, Ariana, Bryce, Bruin, and Bodhi; and her siblings, Daniel (Lana) Clark of Las Vegas and Marlene Hines of Cadiz.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Rev. Ron Heasley will lead a service celebrating Linda’s life in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Schoenbrunn Meadow Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Friends and family are invited to Roxford United Methodist Church Family Life Center after the burial where her church family is hosting a meal.
