Lenora “Punjam” Holliday

Lenora “Punjam” Holliday, 74, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on January 25, 1947 to Walter Lee and Isolda Mary Robinson, and they preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Irene (Jake) Felton and Charles (Stephanie) Williams of Springfield, Willa Mae (Jesus Lopez) Vinegar of Florida, Mark (Julie) Williams, Walter Lee (Erica O’Neal) Williams, Marshall (Heather) Beasley, James Beasley, AJ (Deb) Watson, and Mr. Bailey all of Springfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters: Eleanor Robinson, and Pensacola Robinson, both of E. St. Louis and Annette Teiko of Springfield; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and fur babies, Banana, Gia and many others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Maria Lewis; one brother, Jacob Louis Woodfield.

Lenora was a resident of Springfield since the mid-90’s. She was a cook at The Choice and a bus monitor for Springfield District #186, retiring after many years of service. She was a member of Abundant Faith Christian Center and foster mom to many and loved and treated all the same.

Cremation was accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Gathering: 12 – 2 pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 2 pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home -Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
