Kenya Arlene Merriweather gained her angel wings on April 11,2021. She was born to Arnold and Willa jean Merriweather on March 30, 1970. The third of three children: Arnold jr., and Darvis (deceased).

 

Kenya graduated from Cleveland Heights School class of 1988. She enjoyed walks to Cain Park hanging with a few of her cousins having a good laugh. Kenya would watch most movies as long as they weren’t scary. She started her first job at the age of 15 in the daycare industry; she continued many years of employment in the service industry working as a personal care assistant.  During her years of employment at Koinonia Homes, Kenya was known as a caring, kindhearted woman, who strived to represent her family values in her individual life.

 

Kenya Merriweather, a mother like a warm ray of light that gave life to the people around her. She was always bursting with positivity and was interactive with all her family. Kenya was truly a kind caring individual who had the ears of an angel. She was a wonderful daughter mother and friend. She was skillful in the medical industry caring after her mother and father. She loved to cook, sing and be a great mom to her kids always the best listener because she would never hold grudges with her no-nonsense attitude. Many knew she was not to be played with, from the look that she would give you. Kenya Arlene Merriweather was a woman who was liked by all and loved by many. She will be dearly missed.

 

Kenya leaves behind her mother, father, her children, who she loved dearly; Chandler, Omena, and Dana; grandmother to Jaylen; auntie to Demrio, Brittany, Arlana, Arleka and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a lifetime of friends and acquaintance.
