Josephine “Jody” Movrich

Josephine “Jody” Movrich, age 101, of Chicago Lawn 1940 to1978, Darien, IL: 1978 to 1987 and Palm Springs, Calif: 1987 to 2012 , passed away on December 14, 2020 after testing positive with Covid-19 at her retirement home in Norridge, IL.

After Jody and Bruno were married they started their own decorating and painting contracting firm called Bruno Movrich Co. near Midway Airport at 59th St. and Central Park Ave. They also opened a paint and wallpaper store that Jody built to be an industry success. She loved decorating and it was so gratifying to her to have helped so many people in decorating their homes.

Jody was the beloved wife of the late Bruno Movrich and is survived by her daughter, Louise Monnelly (husband Mike deceased) , and 2 sons, Carl (wife Sharon deceased) and Wayne (wife Mary); and proud grandmother of 13, and great grandmother of 28 and great-great grandmother of 10 and counting. Jody will be remembered by family and friends for her boundless work energy, and as a woman founding and starting the Cub Scouts program at St. Nicholas of Tolentine, she was a traveler of the world even doing a vacation trip on the Amazon River on her own when she was 87, visiting with family and her love of seeing live entertainment with the love of her life, Bruno.
