Joseph “Terry” Emmett

Joseph “Terry” Emmett, 70, of Springfield, IL died at 2:47 pm, Friday, July 23, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on January 29, 1951 in Springfield to Joseph Robert and Anna Corrine (Weatherby) Emmett. He married Janet Cliburn on August 14, 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; two sons, Jason Emmett and Jeffrey (Cindy) Emmett, both of Springfield; three grandchildren, Bradley Emmett, Kayli Daniele and Kelsi Daniele and four nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Alissa Camp and one sister, JoAnn Simmering.

Terry retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue and the IL Army and Air National Guards. He was a member of the National and Local Chapter 1116 H.O.G.

Memorial Gathering: 10-11 am, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield

Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Farmers Point Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
