JoAnn Helen Winker-Hendershot, passed away at the age of 89 on August 2nd, 2024. Services will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Thursday, August 8th at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 10:00 A.M. JoAnn was born on April 12, 1935, in Floyd, IA, daughter of Albert Brockman and Maurine Lynes. She enjoyed following her grandchildren’s activities, rarely missing a sporting event while living in Cedar Rapids. She also enjoyed working as a lunch lady at Regis Middle School. On April 12, 1958, she married Joseph Winker. Together, they had four children. Joe passed away in 1998. JoAnn later married John “Jack” Hendershot on July 5, 2011. They had a very nice, blended family of 9 children. Following their marriage, she enjoyed winters spent in Fort Myers, FL.

Preceding her passing are her parents, late husband Joseph Winker, sister Arlene Burdette and brother Wendell Brockman.
