On Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, Jerry Jimmison, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa went home to be with the Lord. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022. A funeral service will be held at Kingdom Encounter Church at noon Saturday, Oct. 29, with burial taking place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jerry was born on June 21, 1954, to Henry and Mary (Whiteside) Jimmison in Humboldt, Tenn. He worked for Midwest Metals for 21 years. After he retired, he went to work for Home Depot.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jimmison; mother, Mary L. Pledge; children, Dee Dee, Heather, Bryan, Jerica, Nicholas, Josh, Bailey, Kasseem and Tanner; siblings, Violia Jimmison Bond, Carlene, Linda, Joe and Jarvis; along with a great host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Henry C. Jimmison; Minister Isaac; sister, Mary Jean; and his uncle, David Whiteside.
