Jeanne Keegan, 85, of Anamosa, died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at the Apostolic Assembly of Anamosa with interment in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time. Goettsch Funeral Home has taken Jeanne and her family into their care. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at goettschonline.com.
Surviving are her children, Karl (Terry Jo) Weideman, Kurt (Trudy) Weideman, Kevin (Sharon) Weideman, Kristi Weideman and Kim (Paul) Callaway; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and her sister, Judith Weers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; her granddaughter, Danielle; and a sister, Janette Branmann.
Jeanne Cecile Weighels was born June 5, 1938, at Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Royand Mildred Holden, Weighels. She graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 1956. Jeanne married Douglas Weideman with whom she had her family. The couple later divorced.
She would marry Duane Keegan on July 23, 2006, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2016. Jeanne worked as a bus driver for the Anamosa Community School District for 35-plus years. She was a member of the Anamosa Apostolic Assembly.
Jeanne loved her job driving a school bus. She also enjoyed gardening and canning and spending time with her church family.
