Jean was born on July 21, 1933 in Archer City, Texas to William and Nora Freudiger. She married Robert Lee “Daddy Bob” Tarbet on October 18, 1952.
Jean was a beautiful, loving lady who was truly one of a kind. She will be missed by many people. She touched so many lives with her smile, gift of giving, and her spitfire personality.
Jean spent her life helping children, volunteering in the school system on many levels plus serving as a Homeroom “Grandmother” and tutoring, even traveling to New York with the Granbury High School Choir as they performed at Carnegie Hall. In the past “Momma Jean” as many called her, coached twirling, modeling and sponsored Miss Texas Scholarship Pageants. Kids had always been on her Good List. For the past decade she donated her energy to American Legion Post 491’s Toy Drive gifting over 300 children per year. She was also a former nurse, who helped a few veterans get their monthly B12 shots. She took pet food to the animal shelter.
Jean was deeply devoted to her faith, family and organizations; even during her own illness and injuries, she still worked. She even took time to remember folks who had been hospitalized, who were celebrating birthdays, or who were going through personal loss. She sent cards daily. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
