James Lavern White, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, in Sebring, Florida.

Born on August 11, 1943, in Shellsburg, Iowa, James lived a full life with a love for the outdoors and spent countless cherished hours fishing and hunting.

James was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Vern White; mother, Mildred Janet (Berry) White; brother, Marshal White; sisters, Janyce Fletcher and Sue Teeple, and his wife, Kathleen.

He is survived by his brother, Marvin Dean (Monica) White, three sons: Greg, Jeff, and Brad White, and a stepson, Perry Robbins.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A small, private ceremony will be held for family and close friends to honor his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in James’ memory.
