Inez Deloris (Christianson) Polaski

Bella Vista, Ark.

Inez Deloris (Christianson) Polaski, passed away peacefully at the age of 95, on Sept. 17, 2022, in Bella Vista, Ark.

She was born Dec. 19, 1926, to Elmer and Carrie (Severson) Christianson in the Town of Prairie Lake, Barron County, Wis., where she was raised on her family’s dairy farm and attended school. She graduated from Chetek High School in 1945.

Inez met her future husband, Eugene (Gene) Polaski at work in Superior, Wis. Gene never tired of recounting how he always found an excuse to be the one to work with the lovely Inez. They married on Oct. 11, 1952, in Dallas, Wis. They lived and raised their family in Superior, Wis., until 1973 when they moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where Inez helped run Gene’s grain inspection business. After retiring, they enjoyed their time traveling the country, golfing, building their home together on a lake in Arkansas, and living a leisurely life together alongside friends and family.

Inez loved to sing in the church choir and play the piano; her church activities and community were very important to her. She also enjoyed socializing, playing bridge, dancing and bowling. However, her primary recreational passion was golf, and her proudest moment on the course was a thrilling hole-in-one in March 2001.

Inez is survived by her son, Michael Polaski of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her daughter, Julie Polaski of Phoenix, Ariz.; and her son, Jeffrey Polaski of Hayward, Wis. Inez was blessed with six grandchildren, Livia, Leif, Craig, Adam, Mike T and Luke; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda (Lin) Charpentier; and brothers, Glenn, Kenneth, Johnnie and Harris Christianson.

The service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Rd., Bella Vista, AR 72715. Dessert and coffee will be served after the service.

Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralmation.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Rd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.
