Freda M. Powers

Freda M. Powers, 93, of Sherman, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home.  She was born November 24, 1929 in Ozark, MO, to John and Elsa Marie Page Schupbach.  She married Wayne Oliver Powers on June 15, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2001.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy (Bob) Newman of Hannibal, MO, Kathy Powers of Sherman and Amy Sadler of Sherman; three sons, Carl (Elaine) Powers of Nashville, TN, Charles “Mike” (Brenda) Powers of Tallahassee, FL and Daniel (Beth) Powers of Arkansas and Mexico; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Alyce Swift; two brothers, Albert and Otto Schupbach; and daughter-in-law, Pat Powers.

Freda was of the Baptist faith and provided for her family as a homemaker.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Monday, February 6, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.

Funeral Service:  11 am, Monday, February 6, 2023 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman with Pastor Mark Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
