Frank MacArthur Cook

Frank MacArthur Cook, 78, of Hendersonville, died Saturday, June 18, 2022, following a short illness at the Elizabeth House.

A native of Asheville, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruby Cook.  He is also preceded in death by a nephew, Chad Cook and a grandson, Will McMinn.

Frank graduated from Erwin High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  Frank was employed through the years with UPS and Steelcase.  He was a member of the Street Tiques Car Club.  Frank was a loving husband and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kirby Jones Cook; a daughter, Shawnee Hare of Hendersonville; two sons, Derek Hare of Mill Spring and Shannon Hare of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Kyle Uptain, Luke McMinn, Molly McMinn, and Grace St. Piere, the loves of his life; two brothers, Ray Cook and his wife Debbie of Westminster, SC and Gary Cook and his wife Luann of Canton, NC; and numerous other family members.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Melton Officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
