Frank M. “Marty” Petterchak
Frank M. “Marty” Petterchak, 72, of Springfield died at 5:58 pm, Thursday, November 24, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on November 3, 1950 in Springfield, IL to Frank Anthony and Doris Maxine (Germann) Petterchak.
He is survived by three children, Jacob Wade Petterchak of Jersey City, NJ, Clayton Cole Petterchak of Brick, NJ and Abigail Page (David) Gray of Hartford, CT; one sister, Amy (Darrell) Strong of Springfield; one brother, Louis Petterchak of Denver, CO; 2 nieces, Topaz (Tim) Gunderson-Schweska of Springfield and Aschel Rae Strong of Springfield and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Marty was a resident of Springfield for the past 20 years and member of St. Aloysius Church. He owned Northend Tropical Sno for 20 years and previously he was a photojournalist for several newspapers around the United States.
Memorial Gathering: 4 – 6 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
