Eunice Jannan Christopherson, 89, passed away February 23, 2025, in Marion, Iowa. Eunice’s family will receive guests for visitation at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point, Iowa on Friday, February 28, from 4 – 7 p.m. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Alice Cemetery, Center Point.
Eunice was born June 26, 1935, in Volga Township, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Friedlein) Brandenburg. Eunice grew up on the family farm and graduated from Guttenberg High School. She met Thomas Christopherson at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. They were married on September 20, 1958, in Elkport, Iowa. She enjoyed visiting friends and spending time with them. Eunice enjoyed family events and shopping. Most of all, she loved her family.
Eunice’s family includes her children, Jeff (Lynn) Christopherson, Karen (Tom) Knight, and Wendy (Mike) Fitzpatrick; grandchildren, Shanda (Nick) Gabriel, Taylor (Lan) Lithimane, Jacob Christopherson, Christopher (Grace) Knight, Branden Knight, Tori Knight, Cade Gerlach, and Finn Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren, Kaylin Gabriel, Kole Gabriel, and Luna Lithimane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Brad; parents, Charles and Margaret; sister, Verla Finke; and brothers, Charles and Owen Brandenburg.
Memorials contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice in Eunice’s memory.
Eunice’s family would like to thank the staff at The Views of Marion and Mercy Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to her.
