Ethel Rains

On Friday, February 10, 2023, Ethel Rains passed away at the glorious age of 101.

Ethel was born on March 2, 1921, in Navarro County, Texas to Richard Henry and Hattie Ellis Vest.  Though a twin, she was the only girl with five brothers.  She was married to Otis Rains from 1939 until his passing in 2012.   Ethel had a passion for quilting, was a Red Hatter, and a member of the Village Baptist Church in Irving, Texas.  She loved to travel, especially taking cruses.  Mrs. Rains is survived by her daughter, Annetta and son-in-law Gary Frost; two grandsons, Gary Frost, Jr. and Geoffrey Frost and by her six great-grandchildren, Marshall, Nate, Hunter, Kaylon, Ashlyn, and Whitney.

Graveside services will be held at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10 A.M.

Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
