Elizabeth Baumgartner

Elizabeth Baumgartner

Elizabeth (Betsy) Baumgartner-  Born 28 July 1965 in Texas.  Died 18 May 2022 in Williamsburg, VA from Alzheimer’s Disease.  Queen of all she surveyed to the end.  Never met a stranger.  All who met her were captivated by her warmth, personality, attitude, and beauty.  Graduated St. Coletta’s Day School in Braintree, MA.  Served as ambassador from TILL, Inc. to Puerto Rico.  Rubbed elbows with American royalty including the Dukakis’ and Kennedy’s.  Special Olympics champion.  Prima Ballerina. World traveler.

Deeply, sadly, and sorely missed by her family: John Baumgartner, his wife Pamela Arel and daughters Catherine, of Vermont and Sarah Greenberg of California; Ted Baumgartner Clarke and his son Jensen Clarke, of Oregon; Margaret DeTar-Lavallee, her husband Tim Lavallee and their children Nic, Victoria, and Amanda, of Virginia.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Smithfield Hands and Hearts  https://www.mytrinity.org/smithfield-hands-hearts/  or the Greater Williamsburg Arc, 150-D Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, for the great work they do and the great joy they gave Betsy.
