Elaine May Schaffer

Elaine May Schaffer, 90, of Chicago, passed away September 25, 2021. Beloved mother of Lawrence (Adele) Schaffer, Carol Ann (Ted) Duran, and the late Ronald Schaffer; cherished grandmother of Brad (Jessica) Schaffer, Kelly (Jesus) Gonzalez, Ryan (Julia) Schaffer and Derek (Margaret) Schaffer; great-grandmother of Lennon Gonzalez, Charlie Grace Schaffer and Ave Margaret Schaffer. Elaine dedicated much of her time volunteering as a Girl Scout and Brownie leader, on PTO committees, a Ways and Means Committee, and in childcare at Swedish Covenant Hospital. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday 10/2 from 10-11:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago.

Interment at Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
