Elaine M. Eaglesham

Elaine M. Eaglesham, age 95 of Yorkville, IL passed away at her home on Friday, April 1, 2022. She was born on February 17, 1927 in Riverside, IL the daughter of Edward “Ned” and Estelle (Walitzek) Eaglesham.

Elaine was, until her retirement, an Assistant Graphic Art Supervisor with Illinois Bell. She was a pioneer of her time, Elaine was recruited by Illinois Bell right out of high school in 1945 to come work as a drafter during WWII.  She took great pleasure in drawing and painting. Elaine was an avid animal lover. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Elaine is survived by her dear cousin’s husband, Don Lorenz of Somonauk, IL and his family; her dear friends, Shannon and Michael Romozzi of Madison, IN; also her caretaker, Emely Narciso of Sandwich, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned and Estelle Eaglesham; her one sister and one brother; her dear cousin, Doris Lorenz; Elaine’s best friend, Viola Vince; also her three beloved cats.

A Celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at a later date.
