Doug was predeceased by his grandson, Lucas Barnes; his sister, Donna Penland; his stepfather, Braskey Ray, and his stepmother, Kathy Barnes. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Patricia Metcalf Barnes of the home; two sons, Christopher Barnes (Rebecca) of Nolensville, TN, and Dustin Barnes (Shelley) of Pelzer, SC; three grandchildren, Alex and Aidan Barnes of Nolensville, TN and Taylor Barnes of Pelzer, SC.
