Dorothy Ann Wheatley

Dorothy Wheatley, 69, of East Flat Rock passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Pardee Hospital following a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late William and Betty Corpening. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William and Ronnie Corpening.

Dorothy was of the Baptist faith and had retired from the Hendersonville Kmart, following over 20 years of employment with them. She enjoyed traveling and playing both Yahtzee, and Rummy.

She is survived by her sons; Mike Wheatley and his wife, Heather and David Wheatley and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Tyler, Madi, Maddox, James, Sophia and Annabel; great-grandchild, Asher; sister, Joann Hudson and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Alan Parnell officiating.
