Dimitrios George Tsiribas, age 90. Beloved husband of 63 years of Georgia, nee Geroulis; loving father of George (Panagiota) Tsiribas, Angeleke (Anthony) Sansalone and Konstantinos Tsiribas; Proud and loving Grandfather of Dimitri, Mercini, Konstantinos and Anna Catherine. Survived by his loving sister of Megalopolis Greece, Maria (the late Georgios) Katsoula. Predeceased by his loving brother Elias (Eleni) Tsiribas, and loving sister Kyriakoula(the late Georgios) Athanasopoulos. Survived by many relatives, friends and Kombari in both Greece and the United States. Dimitrios immigrated to the United States from Megalopolis, Greece in 1951 with the goal of working to help his family “back home.” He loved and always missed and cherished his beloved “Patrida” but also embraced and loved the United States of America and the opportunities his adopted country gave him. He met and married his wife of 63 years and together they reared their three children and became consummate restaurateurs. He and his wife opened their first restaurant, The D & G on Chicago Avenue in 1962, The Tally-Ho Restaurant on Milwaukee Avenue in 1966 and Demetrios Restaurant on Irving Park Road in 1978. They opened Dimitrios Gyros on Central Avenue in 1984 and Dimitrios Gyros#2 on Northwest Highway in 1989. He loved the restaurant business and his customers and worked tirelessly to serve them. His greatest joy came from his family, especially his four grandchildren. Visitation and Funeral services will be held on Monday February 8th at The Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 South Central Avenue. Visitation at 9:30, Funeral Service at 10:30.
