David Harold Baldwin

David Harold Baldwin, 73, of Fletcher was promoted to Heaven on Friday, May 7, 2021. He was a lifelong native of Henderson county and son of the late Josephine Lewis Allen.

Harold graduated from West Henderson High School and then was drafted into the US Army to serve in the Vietnam War. He was a loyal employee to Bolts & Nuts in Biltmore for forty-two years. He attended Hoopers Creek Baptist Church.  In Harold’s free time, he could be found fishing, camping, and gardening. Harold was a diehard Tarheel basketball fan; go Heels! He also enjoyed NASCAR racing.

Harold was a loving husband, father, papaw, father-in-law, neighbor, and friend. His family meant the world to him; Harold will be dearly missed by all.

Left to cherish Harold’s memory are his wife of nearly fifty years, Carolyn Baldwin; daughter Julie Baldwin Forehand and husband Dustin of Hendersonville; son Mark Baldwin and wife Rhonda of Fletcher; four grandsons Taylor, Matthew, Everett and Reid; one granddaughter Zuri. Harold also leaves behind his brothers, J.C Baldwin of Fairview, John and Buster Baldwin of Fletcher; and his loyal fishing buddies whom he loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church; a visitation will be held one hour prior. Military honors will immediately follow at the graveside located at Shepherd Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions can be made in Harold’s honor to Four Seasons Compassion for Life-Elizabeth House.
