Daniel “Tyler” King

Daniel “Tyler” King, age 29, passed away 25th of September 2021 unexpectedly at his home in Hurst, Texas.

Tyler is survived by his parents Lisa and Ron McBroom; twin brother Skylar King; and sister Shalyn McBroom.  He was preceded in death by his father Gary King.

Tyler was born on 11 June 1992 in Beaumont, Texas, to Lisa and Gary King.  Diagnosed at an early age with Autism, Tyler spent his adolescence in Huntsville, Texas, Bayes Achievement Center where he learned life skills and graduated with his twin brother to move back to Southeast Texas.

One of Tyler’s favorite past times included reciting his letters and the food associated, “P stands for Ponchos” if you were not aware.  He enjoyed going to his group home’s workshop to shred papers, sort items, and play outside.  Those that worked with him knew ice cream and cookies were top motivators that Tyler would always make time for.  Tyler was a true gift from God, and it showed every day in his smile and love of dancing.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Southern Concepts for the care that Tyler received.

The immediate family is holding a Celebration of Life Ice Cream Bar 28 September 2021 at 1:00pm.  Memorial Service to be announced at a separate time.
